2008 Amazing Spring Mystery Run

Hosted by your friends from the Connecticut AMO, 4 Seasons AMCRC, and Northeast Region, NCCA

Sunday, April 27th

Meriden, CT

9:45AM meeting time and 10:00AM Starting Time

The veterans of our Spring Dust off will tell you that you’ll see parts of towns that even the locals haven’t been to. You will be given a set of directions and will have to make choices as well as perform some tasks along the way to the finish line. The more correct choices you make the faster you will find the finish line. The better you are at deciphering clues, the less miles you will go. It’s easier than the DaVinci Code and a lot more fun. Your reward is a great morning with good friends and a nice restaurant at the end to share your tales of the road. AND there are awards too! Your best effort could land you an award for Best Mileage, Best Time, Worst Mileage or Worst Time. First-timers have an equal chance at any of these. No experience necessary but a modicum of patience can be a useful tool.

Daytrippers should know that the Run, with lunch and awards, should be over about 1:30 to 2:00 PM. For those that would like to make it a weekend event, we have rooms booked at The Hampton Inn, Meriden, CT, for Saturday April 26th. Mention the Connecticut AMO for the special rate. Those who wish to dine together should meet in the lobby at 7:00 PM and we will dine together at a local eatery. Please call Frank and Corrine Craviero at 401-723-4226 if you are dining with us so that we can have a number to make the proper reservations. All other questions can be directed to Bob and Henny Majeski at 203-758-5758.

The only things required are: a reliable car with a working odometer (AMC are great but other Detroit iron are welcome, a driver AND a navigator (not GPS), (This cannot be done safely alone.), and a relatively stable relationship with whoever you are going to team up with. The fun and good times will come with the directions. Hope to see lots of you this year.
