2009 Fall Run - Newport, Rhode Island September 26th and 27th 2009 |
| 35 people with 16 cars enjoyed the 2009 Fall Run in the Newport Rhode Island area. We met Saturday morning in Franklin, MA and drove to Middletown, RI to visit the Newport Vinyards and experience a tour of the winery and a wine tasting. Next we caravanned to Newport and drove along scenic Ocean Avenue stopping along the way to admire the ocean views. On Saturday evening we met for dinner aboard the Newport Dinner Train where we ejoyed dinner during a 3-hour narrated trip along beautiful Narragansett Bay. The food was outstanding and everyone had a great time. On Sunday, despite the rain, we met after breakfast for tours of the historic Rosecliff Mansion and The Breakers Mansion in Newport. We ended the Run with lunch at The Atlantic Beach Club overlooking Rhode Island Sound. |
